How to Commission a Painting
Step 1: Initial Consultation
Begin your commission by getting in touch. We will discuss your idea, choose a suitable size, and arrange for you to share a clear, detailed reference photograph.
Step 2: Deposit
A 50% deposit secures your place in my schedule and covers materials. Once received, I’ll give you an estimated start date.
Step 3: Progress Updates
You will receive regular updates with photos, so you can see your painting evolve and request minor adjustments if needed.
Step 4: Completion & Final Payment
When your painting is finished, I will send you a final photo. Upon your approval the remaining 50% plus frame (if requested) and shipping costs will be due.
Step 5: Framing and Delivery
I can curate and arrange framing based on your preferences so your painting arrives ready to hang. Each painting is carefully packed and dispatched via trusted couriers. You will receive a tracking number once it is sent.
Prices
Each commission is unique and crafted with the utmost attention. Prices begin at £1200 for smaller paintings, rising to £30,000 for large scale works. Because I accept only a few commissions each year the process is always personal, tailored and considered.
Can commissioned works be shipped internationally?
Yes, I can arrange international shipping for commissioned works. Your artwork will be securely packaged and shipped using a specialist courier service, ensuring it arrives safely.
Are deposits for commissions refundable?
Deposits are generally non-refundable, as they cover the initial materials and the time spent on designing and planning your unique piece. This will, of course, be confirmed during our commission discussion.
How long does it take to complete a commission?
